Connor Beard, originally from New Braunfels, Texas, is a proud Aggie—but thankful to have traded the Texas heat for the Colorado mountains. He met Renee, a Crested Butte local, on the volleyball court back in 2020. For a while, we insisted we were “just friends,” even though everyone else could see we were obviously meant for each other. Fast-forward to February 2022: Connor asked Renee on an official date and a few days later decided (without actually asking) that Renee was his girlfriend —and, as it turns out, he was right. Staying true to form, Renee said “yes” to his proposal before he got the words out. Together, we share a love for traveling, chasing powder on our snowboards, biking down mountains, hiking beautiful trails, and—most importantly—being parents to our dog Wesley and Renee’s horse Vinny. We’re so excited to start this next chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
