This is right across from our venue and was one of our very early date spots. It continues to be very near and dear to our hearts and will always be our anniversary celebration spot.
Hands down our regular coffee spot. Also gets the most important Dade endorsement: "Michelin star level pup cups and top notch doggie appreciation moments." (Note: there are two locations in Navy Yard, the Half Street location is closest to the hotel block options.)
Our take: No brainer for a delicious pastry, brunch item, or coffee drink. I mean, they have pistachio milk people, say less.
This is where we had our first date and our first debate on whether or not a vodka martini is a martini (Stephanie continues to insist it is while Jack insists she is wrong.)
Great oysters and another neighborhood place that is special for us as it was one of first few date spots. Little did we know that our first apartment together would be up the street just a few blocks away.
We love to hit up their happy hour, especially for the martinis and fries. Top notch food all around.
Pro Tip: while the Mall is beautiful during the day, it really shows off its beauty all lit up at night.
Stephanie lived in Georgetown when she first moved to DC and is still in love with the neighborhood. It not only has great shopping and restaurants, but is wonderful to just wander through to take in the scenery and check out the historic homes.
Great spot to sit outside and have a beer and enjoy the river view.
