FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding attire is black tie. For more details, visit the (soon to come) dress code section.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm, so please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand to get settled. (Make sure to snag a glass of wine on your way up the stairs to the ceremony area!)

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so we can enjoy the moment with our photographers. There will be plenty of opportunities for photos afterward!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All of the evening's events will take place inside the venue.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invitation for specific details regarding plus-ones. We have a limited guest list, so we may not be able to accommodate extra guests.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love being Auntie Rendon and Uncle Jack to all of our nieces and nephews, we’ve decided to have an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

To make things easier, we've arranged hotel blocks within walking distance of the venue—just 2-5 blocks away! For those staying outside the immediate area, we suggest using public transportation or a ride-sharing service, as parking is not available at District Winery.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP, and we will be happy to work with the caterer to accommodate your needs.

Question

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have three room blocks in the Navy Yard area, and the links for those room blocks can be found in the 'Travel' section. If your preference is to stay somewhere else, the Washington, D.C., area has plenty of lodging options.

Question

Do you have any recommendations for non-wedding related activities?

Answer

You know we do! There are so many attractions and restaurants to check out while visiting Washington D.C. (especially if it's your first visit!) To help narrow it down, we’ve listed some of our favorite places to check out and things to eat in the things to do section.

Question

Will there be a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Zola (see registry section for the details.) Your presence is the best gift we could ask for, but if you would like to give a gift, please feel free to choose something from our registry.
