Tulum (TQO) is the closest, fastest airport to fly into. It's new so it doesn't have as many flight options. Cancun (CUN) is another option to fly into. It is typically cheaper as it is a larger airport. It's about a 90 minutes to 2 hours drive from airport to Tulum in a van service. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours in an ADO Bus. Volaris is an airline that flies out of Sacramento which has flights to Tulum and Cancun, but Delta, Southwest, and others also have options.

You can set up alerts on these sites or apps, and they’ll notify you when prices drop. Being a little flexible with dates can also help, flying a day earlier or later can sometimes save money.
