It all started with Baklava, but little did we know it would lead to a lifetime of love, laughter, and answered prayers. Though we lived in different states—Renata in North Carolina and Abanob in Pennsylvania—God had a beautiful plan in store for us. What began as a long-distance meet up quickly blossomed into something more. Through countless phone calls, long drives, airport hugs, and weekend visits, we built a strong foundation rooted in love, patience, and faith. From the very beginning, we knew this was something special. Our shared values and our joy in the little things brought us closer with every passing day. Whether it was serving in church together, talking for hours about life and dreams, or simply enjoying each other’s presence, we felt God’s hand guiding us every step of the way. On a beautiful summer evening in Bethany Beach, Abanob got down on one knee—and Renata said yes to forever.
