Even though there are a lot of really unique, special hotels in Hudson (have you seen The Maker Hotel?), the best bet for comfortable, affordable accommodations is through Airbnb. Since fall is Hudson's busy season, you'll likely have to book a place for a minimum of two nights (we recommend Thursday-Saturday). But if you need a place for one night, there a few options for big and small groups. Mick and Emily also have some backup places booked on their Airbnb, so if you're having trouble finding one reach out to them. These will be available until mid-September.
Hudson is a very *very* small town. You can pretty much walk end-to-end in 10-15 minutes. Since the wedding party is staying in town, they'll likely be walking from venue to venue. But for those staying outside of town, there are minimal Ubers available and local taxi services such as Cubs Taxi.
There are so many amazing places to eat in Hudson, you really can't go wrong. For a few recommendations: Feast & Floret (recommend making a reservation) is a gorgeous, new Italian restaurant that's supposed to be amazing. This is near the ceremony and party if you don't feel like walking too much. Wm. Farmer and Sons (recommend making a reservation) is housed in a hotel near the water. This is really good American food. Swoon Kitchenbar (recommend making a reservation) has a downstairs restaurant if you'd like a classic taste of Hudson. It's farm-to-table and delicious wine. If you're looking for something casual and easy, Red Dot has long been a local favorite and BackBar is a favorite of Mick and Emily's. BackBar has Malaysian small plates and is housed in an old garage. If you don't mind making a longer trip, Lil' Deb's Oasis is on the other end of town and has a chill but cool vibe and Pan-Latin food.
Completely understood! It is at 2:30 on a Friday after all. There is absolutely no pressure on anyone to make it up by Friday afternoon for the ceremony. And we'll look forward to seeing you at 7:30 at Lawrence Park!
