October 17th
January 17, 2026! Doors open at 3:00 pm and the ceremony will begin at 3:30 with cocktail hour and dinner following.
The ceremony will begin at 3:30 and the doors will open at 3:00.
St Paul's Episcopal Church 199 Carroll St, Brooklyn, NY Reception will be held in the Parish Hall at St Paul's.
We have a hotel block at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn (details in the Travel tab of this website). We also have some other hotel suggestions there, but you should feel free to stay elsewhere if you want!
Don't count on it! Parking in this part of Brooklyn is extremely unreliable. We have some more information about that and some travel alternatives in the Travel tab of this website.
We would love for our guests to dress up for our wedding, whatever that might mean for you! We'd suggest something in the cocktail/semi-formal range—depending on what you're comfortable with, that might be a colorful dress or jumpsuit, a dress shirt and slacks, or a suit. We ask that you leave the white outfit to Serena—we'd love our guests to wear something colorful! Keep in mind that the wedding is in January in NYC and the church is often chilly, so you might want to wear a cozy layer!
After the ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, followed by a dinner.
The reception will be more dinner party than dance party. Expect great food and conversation, but not dancing.
Yes! There will be a welcome dinner the night before, from 6-10pm on January 16th, in the Function Room of 191 Willoughby St in Brooklyn. Everyone is welcome! This will be a casual event, so come as you are and feel free to drop by anytime between 6 and 10. There will be food!

It's Reiny's recreation of the first 1501 printing of a piece called "In te, Domine, speravi" by Josquin Des Prez, a composer who is foundational to our relationship (Serena played Josquin in her role-playing class of the 1492 Papal Election at UChicago and asked Reiny for some music by him). You can listen to a recording of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuhgLZDerqM
It's Reiny's recreation of Josquin Des Prez's Stabat Mater from the c. 1500 Chigi Codex, a beautiful codex of Franco-Flemish polyphony of the period. You can listen to a recording here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ql4BuvuDunE
