Who would have thought, a girl who traveled around the world her entire life and a guy from the great state of Texas, would both land at the same small college located in little ole Beloit, Wisconsin. Reine, having recently graduated high school and moved away from Kenya, was on campus for first-year orientation. Ray, entering his junior year, was on campus for football camp. Bright eyed, and taking everything in, Reine was caught off guard when a cool and confident Ray approached her at the waffle maker in the dining hall. After broaching the subject of waffles, Ray asked her to sit with him...she turned him down!!! Even though she wanted to say yes, she’d already made plans to sit with some friends. Luckily, that wouldn't be the last time Ray would get a chance to woo Reine. To Ray’s surprise and delight, Reine got assigned to be a trainer for the football team. It was clear that they had a connection, evident from all the flirting going on during practices. Ray finally worked up the courage to ask her on their first date. After discovering Reine had never been, Ray surprised her with a trip to Chuck E Cheese. From that date, they knew they were right for each other and have been together ever since.
