We met in the study room of our high school in 2014. It was not love at first sight. But Lisa asked, “Do you wanna start a church in my basement?” and the rest is history. We dated for a short time in high school but parted ways to do missions in SE Asia and finish college. Yet, we kept crossing paths: Hawaii, Minnesota, Florida, and Peru, until one day we both ended up back in Minnesota where we finally realized: It was meant to be. We like to joke that no one saw it coming. In reality, everyone saw it coming, it just took us some time.
