Flying into Iceland

The easiest way to reach Skagafjörður is by flying into Keflavik International Airport (KEF), located near Reykjavik, and then driving up to Skagafjörður. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, offering spectacular views of Iceland's diverse landscapes along the way. Alternatively, you can take a domestic flight from Reykjavik (KEF) to Akureyri (AEY), the nearest major airport to Skagafjörður. From there, it's just a short 1.5-hour drive to the wedding venue.

Rental Car

While public transportation is available in northern Iceland, it can be limited, especially in more remote areas. To ensure flexibility and convenience during your stay, we highly recommend renting a car. This will not only make it easier to get to and from the wedding venue but also give you the chance to explore the breathtaking landscapes at your own pace. Be sure to book your rental in advance, as availability can be scarce in this region!
