Maid of Honor

Elli has been Sheryn's bae and best friend since 2014. They met in the Azucar GMU Salsa Club at George Mason University in 2013. They were not immediate friends but once disaster struck for Sheryn and she was going through a very difficult break up in March 2014, Elli felt compelled to reach out and offer wine and ice cream at her place... expecting Woodbridge would be too out of the way. Sheryn also lived in Woodbridge and so the two spent the night of March 21st together eating ice cream, Elli taught Sheryn how to wine, and there were many laughs and tears from then on and they've been there for each other every since. Sheryn could not imagine not having her bae there by her side for such an important day and is so excited Elli agreed to be her maid of honor. She's the best one for the job!

Travis

Best Man

It's a good thing that Elliot covered the new guy's weekend shift at the Burke Centre Parkway Starbucks back in 2014! Ever since then Travis has been Elliot's best friend. He's had his back since day one by providing adulting advice, helping with decisions, spending weekends together with a "Going to Grandma's" Suitcase full with a Playstation & multiple video games + a friend called Southern Comfort 100 Proof, otherwise known as the dark ages (the before-fore times).. Travis and Elliot have always enjoyed partaking in each other's interests and hobbies. They basically spend every day together even if only over Discord with the occasional venturing out for some ramen or some Korean BBQ.. sometimes too much Korean BBQ. Whether it's Warhammer painting, hobby shop adventures, or becoming real close with Sasquatch, there isn't an adventure that they wouldn't take together - making it only fitting that Travis was destined to be Elliot's Best Man.

Lauren

Bridesmaid

Lauren and Sheryn met at a party at Travis' back in 2015. Sheryn may or may not have had too much to drink and Lauren happily held open a garbage bag for her to throw up in - less than 4 hours after getting to knowing her. That's the best kind of friend to have. Since then, they've rotted away on the couch together, watched murder documentaries, took naps, attended Pride, floated rivers, drank many a White Claw, ate delicious food, and sat on kitchen floors together talking about life. Sheryn is SO EXCITED to have Lauren there with her for this very special day.

Chris

Groomsman

Chris and Elliot go all the way back to high school. To say that Chris and Elliot have been through a lot would be an understatement. They were both friends within their friend group they all called the “Basement”. Elliot can't begin to explain all of the fun times they shared together, and the countless hours spent at Ryne’s house. They hung out in the morning before class, lunch, and then usually ended up at Rynes house after school. Chris’ friendship means a lot to Elliot because through all of the years, no matter what the occasion was, if Elliot needed Chris to be there, Elliot could count on him to be there and Chris would show up. Thank you Chris for being a close friend to Elliot. Elliot is beholden to have Chris as one of his ride or die pals.

Syeda

Bridesmaid

Syeda and Sheryn have been friends since 6th grade where they met at Rippon Middle School. They ended up separated for two years when they both ended up at new middle schools but wound up back together and on the same bus for all of high school. Even when they were at separate schools, Syeda and Sheryn kept in touch by virtually hanging out on Virtual Magic Kingdom and Gaia Online. Syeda introduced Sheryn to Supernatural, Panic! At the Disco and many other amazing things. She's seen her at her best, worst, and everything in between and she's chosen to stay in touch with her anyway. Sheryn is so grateful for Syeda's continued friendship ALL of those years and she's even more excited to have her by her side for her wedding day.

Ryne

One of the most genuine, and kind people Elliot has ever met. Someone who Elliot is truly indebted to have as a friend. Ryne and Elliot also met during high school so our history goes way back! Ryne is the Kingpin of the “Basement” so the majority of their lives during high school was spent at Ryne’s house. They went to dubstep shows and Ryne and a couple of friends even hosted a BASEMENT dubstep show at a local club where Ryne was kind enough to have Elliot onstage as a hype man! If Elliot ever needed someone to talk to, or someone to run his jokes by, Ryne is always down to lend an ear! Elliot is extremely grateful to have Ryne on his list of forever homies and to share this moment with Elliot and Sheryn as a Groomsman.

Drue

Once Sheryn swapped to Porter Traditional School for 7th and 8th grade, she ran into Drue and they've been friends ever since. At first it was Twilight obsession and boy crushes, the standard middle school drama. Then, Drue ended up at a totally different high school but they still managed to attend one Homecoming together and stayed in touch. Once they were allowed to hit the mall on their own, there were many opportunities to hit Group USA and try on all the dresses.. just for fun! Once life moved into college, Drue and Sheryn would continue to call each other, text each other, and keep up to date with all things new. Drue came on many an adventure with Sheryn's new salsa friends and quickly became part of the group and Sheryn even got to be Drue's pseudo-maid-of-honor and give a speech at her wedding in 2016. Friendships like theirs are so special and it's even more special to have Drue there to walk down the aisle with Sheryn now!

Logan

Ever since Elliot was a little kid, he has looked forward to going to Aunt Renee's house after school, weekends, and for the summer because it meant he got to see his super cool older cousins, Logan and Damien. Since the earliest days Elliot can remember, Logan would babysit him and wrestle him like they were WrestleMania characters. One of the earliest days Elliot was able to experience video gaming was by watching Logan play Doom on the house desktop. Logan has always been a real role model to Elliot because of his dedication to hard work and to his wonderful family... Elliot strives to be the loving, family man and father that he sees Logan be every day and he's excited to have Logan by his side for this very special day.

Cassie

Sheryn has no lack of siblings but with them being so far apart in age & location - it sure is nice to gain a new sister, Cassie, that is obsessed with dogs, cute mugs, cupcakes, books, and all the fun things! Cassie is Elliot's one and only younger sister and she has been so supportive of the relationship between Elliot and Sheryn. Sheryn has been welcomed into the family with open arms and after 8 years of being around, the marriage has been long awaited by the family - especially by Cassie. Sheryn is SO EXCITED to have Cassie by her side on this very special day and even more excited to gain a sister that is one of the sweetest and most caring individuals, is hilarious and willing to walk into the restaurant first, especially in a full dragon onesie, a sister that is always down to try new things, and that flawlessly takes part in the dance party - especially if Bad Bunny is on, or some Cheetah Girls!

Billy

Billy is Sheryn's little brother - 9 years younger than her. Billy was first introduced to Elliot when he was in town for Sheryn's college graduation in 2016. Elliot was working at the Starbucks near campus and Sheryn made sure to stop by. She ordered a matcha lemonade which Elliot jokingly called "grass water." Billy, much younger at the time, found this incredibly amusing and then continued to ask his Sissy how she was enjoying her "grass water." From that moment on, it wasn't hard for Elliot and Billy to interact. Now Billy joins in on the Discord and games with Elliot and his friends. It's almost too easy gaining Billy as a brother in this scenario.

Angelina

Angelina is way more grown up now than in this picture, in fact - she's probably taller than Sheryn! Angelina is Sheryn's little sister - 13 years apart. She shares so many interests and talents in common with Sheryn though and anytime they can reunite, it's a fun time! They both enjoy singing, dancing, and reading. Angelina will be more than trusted by both Sheryn and Elliot to keep the rings safe and ensure they make it down the aisle with the Flower Guy's help.

Luis

Luis is Sheryn's dearest cousin who is only four years older than her and grew up in Panama but now lives in NYC. Sheryn would visit Panama every 3-4 years and get to visit him. They shared excitement over Pokemon cards, Mario video games, and speaking in English with each other when every family member was adamant they practice their Spanish. Once Luis moved to NYC, Sheryn would visit frequently and he would ensure she got the full tour. Elliot was finally introduced and it was so seamless, it's as if Luis and Elliot had known each other forever. It's no surprise he needed to be in the wedding with how close he is to the bride and groom and there's no position more fitting than Flower Guy.

James is extra special to both Sheryn and Elliot as he has been around from the beginning of this love story. James and Sheryn met through salsa at Azucar GMU Salsa Club at George Mason University and have been friends ever since they met. James was around to cautiously meet Elliot, get to know him, and realize that they were quickly friends, bonding over all the same nerdy things - Warhammer, video games, etc. James has gotten a special front row seat at watching this love story unfold so it only seemed right to ask him to make it official both legally in the states and overseas at the wedding. We are so lucky to have him marry us and tell our story from his firsthand experience!
