January 1. We would love to ensure that the blocks are made as early as possible to ensure lowest price for everyone and the nearest (&nicest) building near the venue.
The U.S. Department of State recommends renewing your passport nine months before it expires. A good rule of thumb is to make sure your passport will remain valid for six months beyond any planned trip.
If you have never had a passport, follow these instructions: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/apply-in-person.html Fill out form and print it. Have US citizenship evidence (birth certificate or old, expired passport) and photo ID. Go to local walgreens, CVS, etc to get passport photo taken. Write check for $130 passport book fee. Go to a passport acceptance facility such as a post office, library, or local government office (most require an appointment in VA near us).
Yes, we will be setting up shuttles as the resort is 2 hours outside the city/airport area. We will need to know your travel plans as early as possible (by RSVP is best) to begin to plan transportation around groups and times of flights. The resort is about 2 hours outside of the city and airport. You are also 100% able to make your own plans. If wanting to explore the city, please take UBERS and not taxis as Uber is safer and more affordable.
We have a special price locked in for those staying at the resort on wedding weekend and a discount in place for extended stays. The special price is for the wedding weekend and will apply per person, per night - $76 per person, per night Friday/Sunday, $109 per peson, per night Saturday. Please let me know if you plan to stay longer and I will work out your stay with the resort to get the best discounted rate they can offer. The earlier we book your stay, the better! However, there are plenty of resorts in the same area if necessary.
Contact the bride directly with the payer's name as it appears on their credit card, payer's passport #, how many people will be staying in your room, and dates you need your room for. The bride will create a Whatsapp group with the coordinator to provide you with the payment link and reservation confirmation you need to show at check in.
The entirety of the ceremony and reception will be outdoors in the tropics of Panama. While this will take place during dry season and there should be some breeze, the weather is a consistent 80+ degrees. Dress for beach formal which aims to be comfortable, practical, and elegant. We'd recommend avoiding black as this will absorb too much heat. Try to ensure the materials you're wearing allow for breathability and are light and comfy. For women, this could include tea-length dresses, flowy dresses, jumpsuits, or maxi dresses in lightweight and breathable fabrics like chiffon, cotton or linen in light, neutral, or bright outdoor spring/summer colors. Chunky heels or formal sandals are recommended as there is some sand involved on the ceremony portion. A change of shoes can be helpful to keep the party going and you dancing all night long! For men, this could include summer suits, linen shirts, embroidered button-downs, or Hawaiian shirts with a print that isn't too bold, linen pants, khakis, or lightweight trousers.
We’ve done our best to include +1s for those in long-term relationships we’re aware of. Since weddings come with space and budget limitations, we hope you’ll understand that we weren’t able to extend a +1 to everyone. If you have any questions or feel we may have missed something, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’d love to hear from you!
We've accounted for families traveling from the US as we know this is a destination wedding but keep a few things in mind: There will be alcohol at the reception, and the playlist was not designed to be kid friendly.
We need everyone to plan to be at the ceremony by 5pm. We do plan to begin on time and keep the ceremony short and sweet. Please allow yourself enough time by arrive between 5-5:25pm for ample time for greetings, mingling, and getting settled so the ceremony can start promptly at 5:30pm.
We will be having an open buffet with many options and hope there are options available for all. Please specify in your RSVP your specific food allergy so we can ensure that the positioning of the food is not problematic for you.
Currently, the bride is aware there are many questions concerning the wedding, especially those traveling from the US. If you are experiencing issues with your RSVP, have +1 questions, or any other questions, make sure it's not on this list lol but feel free to reach out to us at 218.230.0541 or fromreidtorichards@gmail.com. <3
