FAQs

Question

Why Las Vegas?

Answer

When we began planning our wedding, it was important to choose a place that felt meaningful, practical, and undeniably us. We wanted a destination with easy travel and an energy that reflects the fun we bring out in each other. Las Vegas — and specifically The Chapel of the Bells — holds special significance for our family. Reid’s parents eloped there in May 1989, and 37 years later, Kat and Reid will say “I do” in an intimate ceremony at the very same chapel on Saturday afternoon. We can’t wait to celebrate together afterward at Commonwealth!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love kids, we’ve decided to have an adults-only celebration. Our welcome party venue (Caspian's Rock & Roe) and our reception venue (Commonwealth) are strictly 21 and up.

Question

What is the dress code for the welcome party?

Answer

We're honoring our Texas roots with a western theme. Cowboy boots, hats, belt buckles and your finest southern twang are all encouraged! See our Pinterest board for inspo: https://pin.it/2XOgCoxWZ

Question

What is the dress code for the reception?

Answer

The reception will be cocktail attire. We love the funky and playful side of Vegas and encourage our guests to reflect this with fun, colorful outfits! See our Pinterest board for inspo: https://pin.it/4Khy5pszy

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

On Saturday, shuttles from the Vdara and The Cosmopolitan to Commonwealth will be available. We'll provide additional details on timing of these shuttles closer to April.
