After we matched on Tinder (yes sorry everyone who we told we met through mutual friends) Michael sent Mackenzie a message that would sweep her off her feet....... "Hey". Our first date was December 21st, 2016, it was a night out to Chipotle and then to Christmas shop for Mike's mom. It bothered Kenzie that Mike waited until 4 days before Christmas to do his shopping, but the night ended with a goodbye kiss and a text that said "I haven't been on many dates, but it was probably one of the best dates I've been on. Hopefully we can do it again before break ends." A second date turned into a third date then before we knew we were both heading back to college, Kenzie to begin her second semester at Shippensburg and Mike to begin his fourth semester at Kutztown. FaceTime calls, texting, Facebook video calls, and seeing each other on the weekends became our new norm. We couldn't wait until we had breaks to spend more than 2 days with each other. After almost 4 years of long distance, Mike and Kenzie would both graduate from college and move home. In November 2020 after searching the Greenfield Puppies site, Mike and Kenzie adopted their first puppy together, Baker Grilli. As time went on Mike and Kenzie grew closer and they both knew they had something special. About two weeks before the proposal Kenzie was bugging Mike to go out on a nice date, he mentioned a date to Peddler's Village on Friday, November 19th knowing in the back of his mind he was going to ask Kenzie an important question that night. On Friday, November 19th, Mike and Kenzie headed to Peddler's Village for their "Kick-off to the Holidays" event. After walking into two stores, Mike insisted on getting a picture in front of the big red-lit tree. After a couple of pictures snapped by a random stranger, Mike got down on one knee and asked Kenzie if she would make him the happiest man, and say yes? Kenzie cried of course and shook her head yes! Mike slipped the beautiful ring on Kenzie and had one more surprise. Our family was there to meet us and have dinner to celebrate. It was a dream come true. The song we all know states, “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in the baby carriage.” Since January 2022, we have sang our own version - “First comes love, then comes Jack, then comes the wedding of Mike & Mack.” We were blessed to become parents to Jack in August of 2022. And while juggling parenting, full-time jobs and wedding planning has been a lot, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are so excited to have our wedding and have each and every one of you there to celebrate with us! We can’t thank you enough for the love and support during our relationship!
