Yes! We are still planning to walk down the aisle on October 16th, 2020.
Our wedding will include close family and friends, therefore there will be less than 50 people celebrating with us the day of. There will also be plenty of space to do as you wish since both our ceremony and reception will be outdoors.
There has been much uncertainty surrounding our planning and we are trying to take everything into consideration. The most important thing is that everyone who comes to celebrate with us feels comfortable and has a great time! As of right now, we plan to have sanitizing stations around the venue, masks for those who would like to use them, and social distancing measures in place during both the ceremony and reception (e.g. chair spacing during the ceremony and table spacing during dinner). Being outdoors gives us much more flexibility and airspace, and the venue is spacious enough for everyone to enjoy themselves.
Both are at the Whitehead Manor Conference Center in Charlotte, NC. The ceremony will be outside and on the grounds of the manor shaded by trees, with the aisle and chairs located on a pebble/gravel area. The reception will be in an open courtyard (solid stone) of the manor, surrounded by wrap-around porches.
Due to the smaller nature of our wedding and our safety measures, no one has been given a +1. We are limiting our guest list and celebrating with close family and friends.
Cocktail attire. We are excited to be able to enjoy the outdoors and fall weather during our wedding, and we encourage everyone to plan their shoes and attire based on this information.
We ask that you RSVP by the 25th of September, but you are more than welcome to RSVP as soon as you know your plans. We understand if you are hesitant about joining us and want to give you enough time to make your decision in case things change (hopefully for the better!).
Either one! Online is much quicker and easier. Just go to the RSVP tab, type in your name, and select your decision. You can also RSVP for someone else if they do not have the capability to RSVP online themselves. If for some reason you are finding difficulty RSVPing online, don't hesitate to reach out!
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Southpark (Charlotte). They are currently reserved through the 15th of September at a special rate. Go to the travel tab for more details.
There will be a free shuttle to the venue right before the ceremony and after as well.
The ceremony is at 4:30, therefore you should aim to arrive by no later than 4:15. If at the Hampton Inn and taking the shuttle, there will be two different times that the shuttle will leave to bring you to the venue in time for the ceremony. Times are TBD.
You can park anywhere in the gravel lot when you pull into the venue. You can even leave your car there overnight if needed. Uber/Lyft are good options for a safe ride home at the end of the night.
At the moment, the reception is scheduled to end by 10.
We are currently registering with Zola.
