Answer

In the spirit of our celebration, we invite you to wear black tie or black tie optional attire. This can include a black tux, or a black suit for men and long formal dresses for women. We kindly ask guests to refrain from wearing bright colors or patterns or whites, creams, ivory, champagne, etc. Please let us know if you have any questions about what to wear! Question

What if I don’t own a tux, black suit, or a formal gown?

Answer

There are several online rental sites you can use, such as The Black Tux, Generation Tux, and Stitch & Tie if you don’t want to purchase a tux or black suit. You can also get measured at a Men’s Wearhouse near you and have them sent to the location in Dulles (45450 Dulles Crossing Plaza, Sterling, VA). This Men’s Wearhouse is less than 10 minutes from the hotels. There are several online rental options for formal gowns for women as well. Such as Rent the Runway or Nuuly. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Question

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but the weather is pretty mild during this time, around 70 degrees. It can always be warmer or cooler or rainy. Please monitor the weather via any weather app closer to the date. We will do our best to keep guests updated on any inclement weather.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The ceremony will take place on grass. Please keep that in mind while thinking about what shoes to wear. The reception will be held indoors.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests will be directed to the cocktail hour area where food and drinks will be flowing! The couple will be taking golden hour photos and will join the guests during cocktail hour as soon as they can. Dinner will be served around 7:15 pm with dancing to follow!

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue?

Answer

We will be providing formal transportation for guests from the hotels, where we have blocks, to the venue. Parking is very limited at the venue and we encourage guests to utilize the shuttles or carpool. For those who choose to go the Airbnb route, unfortunately, we cannot provide shuttle services to these locations. Please carpool and have a designated driver so everyone can return safely. There will not be very many Uber or Lyft options for this location.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day! With your invitation, there is an RSVP QR code. There you can fill out the requested information. If you are having trouble, please reach out and we’ll be glad to help!

Question

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have hotel blocks at two locations in Dulles area, Embassy Suites and DoubleTree. You can find the information on the “Travel” section of our wedding website. There are many other locations to stay if you wish to stay closer to the airport or to the venue. We do have formal transportation, but will not be able to accommodate those who do not stay at the two hotels we have blocks at.

Answer

We’ll be serving light snacks and drinks during cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner, and of course dessert. You will be able to choose what dish you would like when you RSVP. If you have any dietary restrictions, there will be a place for you to let us know. We want everyone to enjoy their time.

Question

I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?

Answer

We want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, please let us know when you RSVP about your dietary needs.

Question

Are you registered? Where should we ship your gift?

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged and phone-free. We have a fantastic photographer who will be able to capture all those moments. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to take as many photos as they like! We will have a Polaroid camera for photos for our guest book. Be sure to add your photo to the guest book so we can look back on this fun day for years to come.

Question

I have a question that I just can’t find the answer to, what is the best way to contact you?
