Dee and Shawn first crossed paths in the halls of Avondale High School in Avondale Estates, Georgia. Without ever saying a word to one another, they were simply classmates that attended the same school. It wasn’t until they crossed paths almost 10 years later. Shawn hosted a Father’s Day event and needed shirts. So, of course, Dynamic Customs (by Dee) was his go-to business for those t-shirts. Shawn loves to support small BLACK businesses. After some conversations and a few “No” responses to dates from Dee, she finally said “Yes” and they went out on the best date ever! He showed up on time, with roses and blasting Joe’s “I wanna know” out of the speakers of his car. They went on a date to Crave, in Little Five Points. (Another black owned business and restaurant in Atlanta) They later went on a romantic walk at Old Fourth Ward Park. After weeks of dating, they knew they wanted to be together and make their relationship exclusive. Shawn had always said he wanted to marry Dee, so after 6 months of dating, he popped the question at a private dinner downtown and she said “Yes”.
