Alex bought Jess’ ring in December of 2019. He wanted to wait to propose until she was finished with captain training. *SPOILER* He couldn’t wait. He tried to get Jess out of the house to propose, but she wouldn’t leave because she wanted to study. So on January 14th, 2020, between study sessions, Alex told Jess to put makeup on because he “Needed a new Facebook profile picture.” Jess thought this was totally normal. When she was finished getting ready, Jess saw that Alex had set up candles, lights, and a newly bought tripod on the porch. She still thought this was totally normal. After figuring out lighting and which outfits worked best, Alex got down on one knee, and Jess continually asked if it was a joke. It wasn’t a joke, and she said yes!
