Things To Do
Palmer Lake Reservoir Trailhead
A beautiful hike up to a mountain reservoir just a few minutes from our venue! The hike is about 4 miles long and is rated as 'moderate' in difficulty. There are plenty of other hikes that start from the same trailhead if you want to explore!
Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center
The aptly named and breathtaking Garden of the Gods are just south of Palmer Lake in Colorado Springs. Drive the loop, or park and walk around through the unique rock formations.
Manitou Springs
A quaint little mountain town just outside of Colorado Springs. You'll find natural springs to grab a cool (but sulphuric!) drink out of, a massive arcade, jalepeño fudge, and more in Manitou Springs. Perfect for families!
Manitou Incline
The Incline isn't for the faint of heart. You'll gain about 2,000 feet of elevation in under a mile during your workout, so make sure that you save something in your legs for the dance floor!
Denver Botanic Gardens
The Botanic Gardens are absolutely stunning. If you're flying into Denver and have some time to explore the city, make this a priority!
St Mary's Glacier
It's a quick but beautiful hike to Saint Mary's Glacier from the trailhead. Be wary of snow in October, but if the weather is good this is a perfect spot to watch braver people hike to the top of the glacier and sled down while stopping for a break at the top of the hike.
Coors Brewery Tour
Take a tour of the legendary Coors Brewery factory in Golden, CO. Fun fact: Reed worked just steps away from the Coors factory for his first two years in Colorado, so his lunch breaks used to be filled with the smell of hops...for better or worse.
CROSSCUT PIZZERIA & TAPHOUSE
A go-to for Reed and Christine when hosting out of town guests! Drive through the beautiful Boulder Canyon to the small town of Nederland for some wood fired pizza and a beverage (don't forget the chili honey to dip your crust in!). Hike around the reservoir or putz around the small downtown shops while you wait for your seat!
Chautauqua Park
Enjoy the abundance of trails with a wide range of difficulties- from those wanting an easy stroll or a tough work out- all with iconic views of the flatirons!
Celestial Seasonings Tea Tour
Fun, short tour showing you the ins and outs of Celestial Seasonings– prepare yourself for the peppermint room!

A small bistro in Palmer Lake just a few minutes from Pinecrest. Perfect to grab a pick-me-up before heading to our wedding!

Treat yourself to Reed's favorite dessert while in Palmer Lake! They've been around since 1927—so it's safe to say they know about good ice cream.
