The mountains around Poulsbo (the Olympic Range and Mount Rainier) can be surprisingly difficult to see despite their size. On a clear day though, Kitsap Memorial Park is a great spot to enjoy views of the water (the Hood Canal) with the mountains in the distance.

- Fish Park (closest option to the town of Poulsbo, variable hiking distances, great coffee stroll in the morning) For folks that are staying around the area longer and looking for an adventure, the following options are fantastic day hikes in the east Olympic National Forest. Each can be found on AllTrails, the Washington Trails Association website, or GoogleMaps: - Rocky Brook Falls (0.25mi w/ no incline) - Falls View Canyon Trail (1.5mi + 300ft incline) - Mount Walker Viewpoint (5mi + 2,000ft incline; driveable w/ AWD/4WD) - Mount Townsend Trail (8.5mi + 3,000ft incline)
