Hi!! My name is Sara, and I am one of Brooke and Reed’s friends from high school! Brooke and I first met in 7th grade and immediately became good friends. We started going to church together and were in the same discipleship group all throughout high school! After Brooke and I chose different colleges, we knew that we would have to be “long distance” pals- and we did it! I am graduating from Azusa Pacific University in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In the past four years, I have travelled to South Africa, Ecuador, Ukraine and Indonesia with APU. Through it all, Brooke has been an active supporter and friend. I am thankful for the way Brooke empowers and encourages me, and I am humbled and honored to do the same for her in this season!!

My name is Max Lynd, and I have the honor of being one of Reed's best men. I am 22 years old and currently studying at Boston University School of Medicine to get my master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Some things that qualify me to be one of the best men: I have rescued a baby seal, fought a mountain lion, eaten my body weight in Reese’s, I’m a bannerman of House Stark, and the spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-a is named after me. I’ve known Reed my entire life and he is one of the greatest men I know. I’ve known Brooke since high school, right when their relationship began. It has been a privilege to see how far they’ve come and I cannot wait to celebrate these two amazing people who have decided to conquer the journey of life together.

Hey there! My name is Emily, and I’m a senior about to graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University. I’m an Applied Health Sciences major with the intent on going to graduate school to pursue my doctorate in physical therapy. I’ve known Brooke for three years and been roommates for two. I always have a TOTAL blast with her and have enjoyed all of our adventures for the last few years. I’m so happy for Brooke and Reed to finally be starting their lives together and couldn’t be more excited to be there on their special day!

What up! My name is Gavin Jaime and I have a degree from UCSB in Biology but I’m heading back to school for nursing! I am an extroverted introvert who loves spending time with friends, being goofy, enjoying the outdoors, and nerding out for Star Wars! I became best friends with Reed in the latter half of high school and throughout college at UCSB. We’ve gone on many adventures- whether it be Yosemite, climbing mountains, or even a road trip to Canada, and now I get to see Reed’s new adventure. I have had the privilege to know Reed and Brooke for a long time. Reed asking me to be his best man is an honor and I am thankful for him being a loving, God-fearing friend who I can count on to always be there. I am grateful to stand by him on his and Brooke’s special day. I love them both so much!

Wes Stewart Lynd here! I’m studying at Talbot School of Theology for an M.A. in New Testament. I love to camp, backpack, and surf. Reed and I share a love for the outdoors! We both love spending (ir)responsible amounts of money at REI and putting our gear to use. I’ve known Reed since I was born. From the days we would ride our scooters for miles to the days of getting creative with how to skip swim sets in high school, I’ve had the privilege to see Reed grow as a loving and humble man. I am honored to be there for Reed and Brooke as they get married. I’ve considered Reed to be family from day one, and I am so excited that Brooke is joining the family. Supporting Reed and Brooke on their wedding day is my pledge to be there for them as they walk through life together. I love you both!

Hi, my name is Darcy and I'm Reed's youngest (and cooler) sister, although Reed likes to treat me more like a brother because I'm the only sibling who gets beat up by him. I really enjoy dad jokes, surfing, and anything adventurous. I also love my cat as much as Brooke loves her plants, and that's saying a lot. I'm planning on attending Azusa Pacific for nursing this fall. I've loved seeing Reed and Brooke's relationship grow. Their relationship has been apart of my childhood and has set such a strong example for me. I look up to both of them more than anything and I am so extremely thankful God has brought them together. Brooke is a perfect fit for the Taylor fam! I don't think I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciate and love them!

Hi my name is Connor. I'm the "bike guy" or businessman of the house because I have started my own bicycle sales and repair business at UCSB called CJ's Cycles. I currently live with Reed in the Brotel, but I also was an OG member of the Galactic Manpire. I met Reed at the first Real Life of our freshman year and soon discovered that we were neighbors in the Santa Cruz dorms. From having the smelliest room in the Manpire with fart wars to long talks about life's biggest hardships, Reed has been like a brother to me who I can count on for anything. I love when Brooke comes to visit because she brings joy with her and I can see how happy she and Reed make each other. I'm excited for their next stage of life together and wish them well.

I’ve known the couple since junior high! Brooke and I started leading worship together, became best friends in high school, and have stayed close ever since. I tell this story all the time, but I remember when Brooke was crushing on Reed so hard. The poor boy hadn’t made a move yet. She was sad and feeling crazy as any girl would. I drove to her house past curfew (what a rush) and brought her chocolate cake. We sat, cried, ate cake and laughed and they were dating like month later (hallelujah). As a witness to this marriage, I plan to bring cake on hard nights for BOTH of them in years to come. I’m here to laugh, cry and celebrate this couple in October 2019 and beyond. Oh also, you’ll see me dancing my heart out on the dance floor. See you there!

Hey there! My name is Michael Ditoiu. I recently graduated from UC Santa Barbara, where I learned just as much about pouring lattes as a did about communication theory. After working at a coffee shop for 3 years and studying communication for 4, I realized that the only logical next step was nursing school. Much of time at UCSB was spent cultivating deep and meaningful relationships with people that God brought into my life. I met Reed through a campus ministry during my first week at UCSB, and we instantly bonded through our painful devotion to the Los Angeles Chargers. That bond was strengthened through our mutual love of ultimate frisbee, Settlers of Catan, and computer engineering. I am so thankful for Reed’s presence in my life, and I am honored to stand by him on his wedding day.

I’m one of the Brotel Bros that live in Santa Barbara. I’m currently finishing my last year at UCSB studying Communication. My first year in Santa Barbara I met Reed in our religious studies class. Our relationship begins similar to how it continues today, laughing at me because I’m from Bakersfield. The friendship between Reed and I has included playing roller hockey together to serving weekly for Cru. Through our friendship I learned quickly how well Reed invests in the very things he loves. Hello! I’m Sofia and I’ve known Brooke and Reed since... before they were even “Brooke and Reed”! I met Brooke in high school during band practice for a church worship night and we’ve been peas in a pod ever since. Our friendship has been marked by many shared loves: bread bowls, harmonizing, and plants. The past few years I’ve been in college at Biola studying Comm and Bible while Brooke was a nursing student at PLNU, but we always managed to stay in touch. Watching Brooke fall in love with her best friend has been such a joyful journey. This couple gracefully models commitment, resilience and mutual respect— and now we get to watch them get MARRIED. Hello, my name is Anthony and I’m a 4th year Economics student at UCSB. I will be joining the Peace Corps after graduation teaching 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders English in the Eastern Caribbean! I also go to Church in Carpinteria and serve in the Children’s Ministry, 4th and 5th grade. I met Reed my first week here at UCSB as a transfer student during a worship night. Him and a friend decided to invest their time in me as young, naïve, clueless new university student. That night ended with Reed inviting me to go bouldering with him and his friends that next weekend where I was introduced to a great new Christian community. Since them our friendship has flourished and I’ve been blessed by him in countless ways.
