The first memory Brooke has of Reed was in a history class, he was eating a huge burrito. You could say it was love at first sight (between Reed and the burrito). Later on they would become best buds, as Reed would make excuses to drive Brooke to group events (she had no license yet, the poor soul).Eventually, friendship developed into more and after asking permission from Brooke's parents, Reed asked Brooke to be his girlfriend (aww!). For all of junior and senior year, Brooke and Reed took on high school together. It was the best!! By the end senior year, they were ready to take on long distance and head to college!

Senior year of college rolls around and Reed and Brooke have been talking a lot about marriage. During the fall, Reed and Brooke both decide that they want to take their relationship to the next step. Reed goes to Brooke's family jeweler to get a custom designed ring and builds a wooden ring box from scratch. On the day of the proposal, Reed was very nervous but is able to hide it well enough to throw Brooke off. They arrive at the Montage in Laguna Beach and walk through the spots where they had some of their biggest moments: having their first kiss and saying I love you. Finally, they arrive at a bench overlooking the water and sunset and begin their picnic. Brooke mentioned that they had been waiting so long to finally be together and Reed replied "and I can't wait any longer" and got down on one knee (SHE SAID YES WOOOOOO).
