We have taken many walks on this beach and boardwalk, and it is just a few steps from the Church!
If you're looking for a fun night out on NYE or over the weekend, this is the best spot around! Or, during the day, travel to the end of Balboa Boulevard and visit The Wedge (https://visitnewportbeach.com/surfline-cam-wedge/), known worldwide for awesome (i.e., awe-inspiring) surf. If the surf isn’t pumping when you’re there, you can always sit at the jetty and watch the boats come in and out of the harbor or catch the sunset as it melts into the Pacific Ocean.
Our first date spot! Enjoy a scenic walk along the waterfront, especially at night when the houses on the island are beautifully decorated in sparkling festive lights for Christmastime! And don't forget to try a frozen banana or hippo cookie from Dad's or stop by the taffy store for some sweet treats, too. You can even take the ferry from the Balboa Peninsula to get there — drive or walk across the bay for $2-$3 bucks, a ride you won't forget!
Located within blocks of our Reception venue, Old Towne Orange comprises antique and collectibles dealers, specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants, and is beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Hike to Top of the World, visit Thousand Steps Beach (but be prepared for the long staircase) or see the princess/pirate tower at Victoria Beach! This city holds some of the most beautiful beaches in the state!
A beautiful (and easy) hiking spot! Try the El Moro Canyon Loop Trail! ($15/Vehicle day use fee.) If you're hungry for a snack or sweet treat after your hike, try the shake shack below!

If you are looking for an evening activity, Dana Point Harbor's Festival of Lights will still be on display through the beginning of January! See the boats, a wonderful light display, and of course, the famous "Merry Kiss Me!"
