Getting There By Train

Trains are an easy, affordable, and scenic way to travel around Italy. Tickets can be purchased at the station or online at Trenitalia.com. From Rome: Trains to Foligno depart from Roma Termini, the city’s main train station. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the route. For the smoothest experience, we recommend booking a direct train with no transfers. From Florence: Trains to Foligno leave from Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Travel time is around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the route. For convenience, try to book a direct train when available. You’ll arrive at Stazione di Foligno, which is within walking distance to the historic city center - a perfect home base for the wedding festivities!

Getting There By Car

Don’t be intimidated by Italian drivers - it’s an easy, straightforward, 2 hour and 15 minute drive to Foligno from either Rome or Florence. The roads are well-marked and easy to navigate, especially with GPS. We’ve personally rented from EuropCar in the past, but you’ll also find plenty of other options at both airports, including Avis, Ecovia, Autovia, and more.
