Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rebecca Bell and Taylor Melvin
Known as the “green heart of Italy” and often called “Tuscany without the tourists”, Umbria is one of Italy’s most beautiful regions. Here, you’ll find a perfect blend of rugged landscapes, rich history, vibrant art, and incredible food and wine. We hope you’ll take some time to explore the beauty of this region while you're here. From historic hilltop towns to peaceful lakeside views, there’s so much to see and do within a short drive of Foligno.

Assisi

Just 30 minutes from Foligno, Assisi is a serene hilltop town known for its spiritual heritage and medieval charm. Wander through narrow cobblestone streets, visit the Basilica of Saint Francis, and soak in breathtaking views of the Umbrian countryside.

Perugia

Perugia, the capital of Umbria, is about 45 minutes away and full of energy, history, and art. Spend the day exploring ancient Etruscan architecture, charming piazzas, and lively wine bars (we cannot recommend Bottega del Vino enough) - or indulge your sweet tooth at the famous Perugina chocolate factory.

Lake Trasimeno

An hour's drive from Foligno, Lake Trasimeno offers a peaceful escape with beautiful lake views, quaint lakeside villages, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun. Rent a kayak and paddle along the shoreline, take a boat ride to one of the islands, or simply relax with a picnic by the water.
