Ryan and Nathan met when their mutual friend, Nic (see below), took Ryan to a party that happened to be at Nathan's apt at Virginia Tech - neither even realizing that they had actually went to high school together! After a night of revelry, & still virtually strangers, Ryan decided to invite Nathan to his house at Smith Mountain Lake to wakeboard the next day. Randomly enough, Nathan decided to join & they've been friends ever since! From spring break trips to OBX, to living together in Blacksburg talking through life with whiskey & cigars, Ryan & Nathan have always had each other's back while having fun where ever they could, & remained close even when Nathan moved to Minnesota for his Post Doctorate. Lucky for us though, Nathan and his fiancé recently moved and live close-by again in MD!

Allison & Rebecca met while in grad school at Radford getting their masters degrees in Speech Language Pathology. And honestly, it was like an elementary school crush -- they bonded over picking on one another for their respected sports teams (Ravens, boo) & by just ‘getting’ one another's stupid humor. By the end of their grad school nightmares, it was safe to say they were going to have a hard time going their separate ways. Through nights at the bars, road-trips with Miley, & now constant Sunday morning Facetimes or phone calls, it's clear the distance hasn't kept them apart! Allison moved to Colorado in 2018 (we don't like to think about how long it's been since they’ve seen each other), while Becca's been secretly hoping she finds her way back to the East coast again someday...

Mike & Ryan met while pledging for their fraternity at Radford University, quickly coming to realize that they got along much better than most throughout the group, which led to a long term friendship. The two have remained close, even after jobs took Mike to both Alabama & Texas! But not to worry, they try to find time to enjoy some fun together whenever possible. Mike even helped Becca secretly plan a trip to Texas for Ryan's 30th birthday, which led to an unforgettable learning of the 2-step (Stetsons not included). From enjoying Austin’s night life, laughing over drunken river floats, & last minute snowboarding trips, these two always seem to agree they can't wait for more Bro-Time together! Ryan was honored to be in Mike’s wedding, and now honored that Mike agreed to be in his!

Molly and Rebecca are sisters! They actually butted heads a lot growing up, & Rebecca was always considered "the annoying little sister". Either Molly's become more tolerant, or Rebecca less annoying, because now they are as close as can be! Molly and Rebecca have even lived together 3 separate times! -- Growing up in PA, in OH with Molly and her now husband, & in VA with both Rebecca & Ryan! They are constantly on the phone with one another - as their unique jobs with driving often allows - chatting about the latest gossip, the newest Netflix series', and the "I'm just really bored driving" nothingness. Molly & Rebecca are not just sisters, but the best of friends! If you see them out together, watch out! They WILL dominate you in any game out there (or so they'd like to think....).

Ryan and Nic have known each other since early days in High School. Though notably running in completely opposite crowds, they both always seemed to click. The two have kept in touch through college while Nic attended VMI, throughout Nic’s deployments with the Army, and across many states and many moves. Whether it was drunken nights, relationship troubles, trips to the lake, kayaking down the New River, or simply hanging out in Nic’s mother’s basement (laughing at how stubborn their friend Nathan is), the two will always find the time to see each other when they can — Even now while they’re separated by 4,123 miles and a 4 time zone difference via zoom!

If you're wanting to know the woman behind the lens from our engagement shoot, look no further! Carey & Becca met at Clarion University. Carey is an SLP too, but a year below, so it wasn't until Becca's senior year that they met as neighbors while living at "the barn". It was an instant & endless connection that's paved the way for their many adventures! Becca & Carey have taken the bus to NYC (....with an unfortunate trip to the NYPD station), traveled through the Land of the Lovers (VA), hopped in a rental car to NC, slumbered in OH, and hit all the pot holes in Baltimore (MD)! When Carey & Becca are together, you will find them always laughing, maybe golfing, certainly listening to Christmas songs (seriously she plays it year-round) and likely lounging around in their pajama dresses!

Ryan & Andrew (Tippie) also met while in college. Ryan will joking tell you all about the first time he witnessed Tippie "prancing" through the Quad, and quickly assuming there was little chance of the two getting along —Which evidently proved wildly wrong & a life long bromance soon ensued! Even after Tippie's career took him to L.A., Ryan made sure to book a "bro-trip" to see him there. At first, Tippie wasn’t too happy with Ryan for inviting his new girlfriend along (bro trips mean no girls!), however quickly ended up approving of her. Ryan even wonders if he thinks she's cooler than he is!? (Spoiler alert..Ryan marries this girl!!). The two will agree they don't get to see each other enough, but will never let that stop the bromance, & make sure to see each other any chance they get!

Kaylie and Becca -- A duo that's been happening since the time that girl came running in late to class in 1st grade wearing her apple dress and Buster Browns (the ‘girl’ was late..so we're obviously meaning Becca here!). Kaylie is Becca's longest (& shortest) best friend, and that will forever be! They could spend DAYS talking about growing up and family trips, sports attempts, and TOO MANY embarrassing stories. Kaylie and Becca go as far back as family concerts to Britney Spears and //\\//sync and continue to follow each other through all of life’s changes, challenges, and successes! Through different colleges, moving cities, and meeting the loves of their lives (I’m talking about you, Bingin🐶....jk!), they’ve both been there for one another every step of the way!

Melissa and Rebecca met at the hospital over 29 years ago on Rebecca’s birth day. You got it — Melissa is also Rebecca’s sister! Growing up they had a lot of fun together, and Melissa always protected and treated Rebecca like the little sister she was (see —- not everyone thought she was so annoying!). Melissa was always around for a good time and even spent many of her weekends traveling to Clarion and hanging out and having fun with the ‘college kids’! Even though Melissa always treated Rebecca as the baby, she also knew how to sneak in some fun! .....until one time she accidentally left photographic proof laying around the house from her disposal camera print out of Baby Becca taking her very first shot at age 15......sorry mom!
