Avignon - Provence Airport (AVN) PROS: This airport is the closest to our wedding destination at only about 10 km from Avignon's city center and 20 km from Sorgues, the charming town where the weekend's events at Château La Tour Vaucros will be held. CONS: Avignon’s airport offers fewer flight options from outside of Europe and from other major French cities, limiting its international and domestic connectivity. Year-round accessibility is also limited as some routes at this airport are only available during the high season.

Marseille Provence Airport

Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) PROS: Marseille Airport offers a variety of international connections and good train line connections, with nearby Vitrolles station offering easy access to the TGV line to Avignon (about 30-40 minutes). CONS: The airport is about 100 km from Avignon, requiring either a car drive or a combination of train and bus travel, which can take around 1.5 to 2 hours or longer depending on traffic around Marseille.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) PROS: CDG has the best options for international flight connections and for direct TGV train links to Avignon, making the journey between the airport and Avignon efficient and relatively fast (around 2.5 to 3 hours). It's also the best option if you plan on spending some time in Paris! CONS: CDG is the farthest airport from the wedding destination and there is a possibility of travel delays or congestion during peak travel times.
