Outside of Jesus, Tamara Self was the first person who made me feel truly known. Her friendship helped instill foundational truths in my walk with Jesus. From walking in discipleship to having her husband Austin baptize me, it has been almost a decade of having them both in my corner cheering me on towards the heart of Jesus. My favorite quality about Tamara is her ability to unlock hearts with her eyes of grace, I can confidently say they reflect the eyes of Jesus Himself.

Do you ever just meet someone and become immediately floored by how similar your minds work? For me, this person is Gabrielle. My friendship with this beauty is one of the most refreshing ones I have. She is one who is so consistent in all that she does. My favorite quality about this friend is her ability to communicate multiple perspectives, this gifting truly allows her to pastor hearts well.

Since then she has played such a sweet part in not only my relationship with Jesus but also with Lincoln. Within moments of meeting we found ourselves talking deeply about Jesus, praying, and contending for truth in the lives of one another. Since then there has been multiple trips to Texas This friend is one is marked by fearlessness! My favorite quality about Kimberly is her willingness to be bold for the sake of Jesus. this only a glimpse into what it is like to be her friend.

Garrett and I met through the college ministry at Antioch Community Church. We quickly became enemies that turned into best friends! Hahaha, Garrett and I have fought, led, and pursued Jesus together for several years now. it has always been clear to me that the love, care, and tenderness of Jesus is reflected in the eyes and action of this man. Garrett showed me the simplicity of loving Jesus day in and out with a heart that has zero judgement in it... I run out of words here and find myself in tears. He simply is my best friend.

Dusty Maes, oh man, this guy right here. I have never known anyone else who would challenge, love, and encourage me like this man. He is one of the few men I know who truly feels like a brother. Not older or younger, just a good brother. Dusty and I have a rich history of competitiveness and radical encounters while loving people. We have been through valleys and up mountains together all the while growing closer with both each other and the Father. Dusty is a man who will give everything up for sake of the ones He loves. Timothy Jone, wow. The first words that come after "wow" when I think of Timothy are simply he is a man in love with Jesus. Timothy and I really got to know each other over the last few years and he is a dear friend. His consistency, love, and pursuit of me has reflected the heart of God to me time and again. Timothy is not one to let ANYONE escape by being shallow. He pursues you to the depths of discovery so that you can truly see the gold the Father laid in your heart when He spoke you into existence. This wonderful man has made me laugh! He has also helped me discover the identity that Jesus gave me. A child of God, a son of the Forever King. He truly is a friend who is closer than a brother. Sean has been the most stedfast friend from my childhood. As a brother in Christ, fellow martial artist, and one time band mate he has loved me. These words shouldn't be flippant, he has loved me deeply and without agenda. Consistently rooted in the truth of God, Sean has been a one of the most solid guys in my life. He also can make me laugh second to none! From being kids and fighting on the trampoline to being adults fighting in the ring, Sean has been there for me. One day I was running three miles and struggling and to my surprise Sean came to my side. Sacrificing his time so he could run me into the finish line. He doesn't leave anyone behind, he carries people to the finish line so that he can go out and encourage the next one. He is one of my best friends.

This is a man of pure, unbridled, joy! Dave and I have been friends for as far back as I can remember. He has been my adventure friend! Without fail Dave is always ready and excited to go try something ridiculous with me. He carries a tender servants heart that reflects Jesus. It is truly amazing to talk with someone who is actively serving you while intentionally listening. Dave is not a man who settle for a shallow friendship. He has spurred me on as a brother cheering, caring, and listening to me the whole way. We've been through a lot and one thing is certain, the delight and joy this man carries in genuine. Austin is the type of guy that you call before you go into battle. Before you're done telling him the destination he is done packing for the both of us and is ready to roll. I'll never forget standing in the kitchen at a life group praying with him. We barely knew each other and when we said amen I knew I had found a life long friend. The tenacity, drive, and hunger for God this man carries is only matched by his love for Jesus. This man loves Jesus. We've been through a lot together and in it all he has proven a faithful, wise, friend. In addition to all of this he is hysterical. Austin, you are a beloved friend.
