Question

Where do I park at the Burr Homestead?

Answer

Guests may NOT park behind the Burr. Guest parking options in order of closeness to the Burr are as follows: *please do not park in front of the mansion, there is plenty of parking on Penfield Road -- can fit 100 cars 1. Street parking on the west side of the Burr on Penfield Rd. (Fairfield Beach windshield parking stickers required between Memorial Day and Labor Day). 2. The parking lots of Town Hall and Sullivan Independence Hall. To access these two lots, pass St. Paul’s church next door to the Burr on the east side, and turn right on “Town Hall Green Rd,” - which is the driveway that accesses both of these town lots. After entering, guests may park next to Town Hall, or follow the driveway around to the right to park in the Sullivan Independence Hall parking lot. (The Burr tent is visible from the Sullivan Independence Hall lot).

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal. Formal. Formal. For the gents, something slightly less formal than black tie is acceptable. So, a tuxedo isn't required, but the event is still formal enough for one to be appropriate. For the ladies, the choices are the same as with black-tie: a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pants suit.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

MASK or NO MASK??

Answer

Please be assured that your health and safety is our top priority! We will be adhering to the current restrictions and guidelines as they come. That being said, following state guidelines and our venues rules - it is optional for vaccinated people to wear a mask. However, the entire event is OUTDOORS. No masks will be required for those vaccinated. All non-vaccinated people should be wearing a mask. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/participate-in-activities.html
