Having attended the same middle and high schools, we probably walked past each other many times and did not know it. Even through years of Jordan's friendship with my brother Stephen, we were strangers. That is, until Jordan was a groomsman in Stephen's wedding in September 2021. In October 2021, Jordan and I both showed up to help move a table into Stephen's new home. Not long after, Jordan asked him for his blessing to ask me out, which I learned of two weeks later before a gathering at Stephen's house. When we awkwardly locked eyes, it was clear to him that I knew. Later that night, I asked my sister-in-law Wrenn for his number. I texted him immediately and we have been inseparable ever since.
