From the moment we swiped right on Tinder, we never imagined our journey would lead us here. What started as a casual bottomless sushi date turned into four hours of incredible conversation, only ending when the restaurant had to close up. On our way out, we discovered we both drove Jeeps, and from that moment, the sparks started to fly. We spent our second date at a brewery playing games, followed by a third date of eggs benny and some off-road stick-shift lessons—courtesy of Beccs—which ended with JT getting her Jeep stuck. Stranded for a few hours until AAA came to the rescue, it was during that time that Beccs snuck the first kiss. With each date, our connection grew stronger. On the night JT met Beccs' family, he asked her to be his girlfriend, and from there, our story took off. A year later, when Beccs was accepted into grad school in California, we made the big decision to move across the country. We started our life together in a tiny apartment where the tub sank every time we showered. A few weeks after making the move, we became proud pet parents to Tigger. When COVID hit and the world shut down, we grew to love each other's company even more. A year into California living, we moved from an apartment to a lake house, where we learned the ins and outs of home maintenance, alongside welcoming Zini and later Brewski into our lives. On probably the rainiest day of this year, JT surprised Beccs by popping the question in the town where we began our Californian life together. A few months later, we bought our first home, diving into renovations during the heat of summer, and after a few more months began to plan our wedding. Not too long ago, during an evening walk with Brewski, our last unexpected furry friend, Tuna, joined the pack making us a family of 6. We are loving doing life together; whether we're skiing, hiking, exploring wineries, fixing up the house, or just enjoying quiet snuggles on the couch, we cherish every moment together. We're eagerly looking forward to this next chapter as Mr. and Mrs. VK, excited to see where life takes us next.
