However, if you are traveling with your children to our wedding, and need childcare please visit munchkinminders.com to find local nannies that could provide childcare during our events.

Here are a few suggestions... To Buy: Check if there are any Indian apparel boutiques in your area... Fremont (Nor Cal) and Cerritos (So Cal) are a few areas with multiple options that we are familiar with. You can also find some options on Asos, Etsy , and Amazon To Rent: Sites like Riya Collective and Saris and Things allow shoppers to rent a traditional ensemble for weddings instead of purchasing a brand new outfit. https://www.riyacollective.com/ https://www.sarisandthings.com/
Wedding attire for male and female guests are adorned with interesting colors, patterns, prints, and embellishments. Indian weddings are known for colors and gorgeous patterns, That being said, don’t be afraid to accessorize! Women: The traditional Indian two-piece attire is called a lehenga. Besides lehenga, another popular attire that female guests can wear for Indian weddings is the saree, a fabric draped from the shoulders to ankles. If you don’t like skirts, you can also consider wide-leg pants called sharara with a tunic top called kurti. You can opt for ornate jewelry pieces like necklaces, earrings, and even bangles. Your bag can also be beaded and adorned to enhance your look. Men: A sherwani jacket with matching pants is traditional. Male guests can also opt for a long-sleeved kurti if they prefer it over the long sherwani jacket.
Women- Cocktail attire typically calls for a dress that finishes at or above the knees and high heels. Although cocktail looks should always appear sophisticated, they can also be fun and embrace exciting colors, embellishments, cuts, and unique accessories. Men- Men should wear a dress shirt and slacks, tie is optional.
Mid-length or full-length dresses are ideal. If you go with a midi, short, or high-low hemline, play up the fancy factor with specialty fabrics. In terms of accessories, try adding two to three statement pieces like chandelier earrings, an eye-catching headband, or a faux fur wrap. For footwear stick to heels, dressy wedges or more formal flats.
You can certainly wear a tuxedo, but it is not required. For those who don't, go for a suit in a dark color such as navy blue, black, or grey. Ties are recommended, but not required. For footwear, leather or patent dress shoes are suggested, but we always appreciate a chic loafer or a dressy sneaker.
