Rebecca and Jacob first met on Snapchat in 2021. Neither of them remember who added who or who started talking to him who, especially since Jake was in Illinois and Rebecca was in Arizona. It wasn’t until September 2023 that they met in person for the first time at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. They quickly became good friends and started hanging out almost every day. Feelings were developed and it took Jake 6 MONTHS to ask Rebecca to officially be his girlfriend on May 24, 2023.

The proposal took place at the Superstition Mountains in Arizona on a cold March morning. Rebecca’s friends were in town visiting and they went to take “graduation” pictures for Rebecca and Jake. Graduation pictures turned into proposal pictures. They spent the rest of the day celebrating with her friends and Jake surprised her with more friends at dinner the same day. It was a day filled with love, joy, and laughter.
