We're Getting Married

Rebecca had been living in St. Louis for 7 years and was looking to give online dating one last try before moving on and starting a new job in a different city. Dan was new to the area and was trying online dating in the hopes of finding that special someone. They agreed to a first date at Alpha Brewing Company, and at the end of the date it was clear to both that there would be a second.

Rebecca headed to her favorite destination, Roatan, Honduras, after her annual medical mission trip on the mainland. Dan flew in to meet her for a week of an amazing island vacation in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. On the second night, Dan asked Rebecca to join him on the deck overlooking the ocean to watch the sun set. After rushing to get ready for dinner, Rebecca was able to join Dan just in time for sunset. As the sun was hitting the horizon, Dan asked a stranger to take a photo and proceeded to get down on one knee, catching Rebecca completely off guard. Rebecca said, "What are you doing?! Shut up...." Through the tears, she proclaimed "YES!", Dan put on the ring and then they embraced. Unbeknownst to the newly engaged couple, the 'recruited' bystander had recorded the engagement from start to finish (we never did catch her name). After the sun had set the cozy couple went out to dinner with friends and celebrated with the finest champaign Roatan had to offer! And the rest is history.
