Maid of Honor
Taylor and Rebecca met during their move-in day of Freshmen Year at Hope College. The world knew that Taylor and Rebecca were meant to be in each other's lives, because they happened to park across from one another while unloading all of their things. Rebecca, being her typical self, started up a conversation, and after that, the rest is history. Soon after, Rebecca and Taylor found out they were in the same First Year Seminar and Intro to Psych course. This led to early morning breakfasts in the dining hall every Tuesday and Thursday, making sure that they signed up for the same student research subject spots, commiserating about the students who would not pull their weight when working on group projects, nightly dinners, and the formation of an incredibly special, lifelong friendship. Taylor is someone everyone needs in their corner. She knows what to say in order to celebrate you, how to comfort you when you need to be lifted up, is such a talented singer and guitarist, will laugh at the stupidest jokes that could be told simply because she knows your sense of humor, and is always up to get sushi if you ask. Taylor knows what Rebecca is thinking before she even says it. Taylor knew from the first time she met Chris (when the three of them went out for sushi) that Rebecca was head over heels. Taylor has been Rebecca's right-hand gal since 2016 and this day would simply not be complete without her.

Emily and Rebecca have been the closest of friends since their sophomore year of high school at good old Pi High XI. If you ask Emily, she would say that Rebecca was extremely annoying during their Freshmen year (it's true). Luckily, Emily and Rebecca were both cast in Pius' production of The Tempest, because it led to one of the greatest friendships ever. After that, Rebecca knew that Emily was going to be the best friend a girl could have. Emily is hilarious, and can make anyone laugh with her puns or sarcastic comments. Emily is multi-talented, and if you hand her an instrument and give her an hour, she'll come back sounding like she's played it for years. Emily cares deeply about those close to her and will defend them without hesitation. She has been there for Rebecca in some of her darkest times (hello AP Statistics), and has been willing to be the shoulder Rebecca cries on or the one to offer a solution when it's time to get back up again. Emily is the logical to Rebecca's emotional, so expect a lot of logic coming from Emily on wedding day. Rebecca could not imagine celebrating this special day without Emily by her side.

Zandra has been the hype girl of Rebecca's world since Zandra joined the sorority Rebecca was in. Zandra and Rebecca became super close after having the opportunity to live in their sorority house during Rebecca's last semester of college. Whether Rebecca was convincing Zandra that ordering Jimmy John's or a pizza was absolutely necessary, or Zandra was teaching Rebecca the correct way to put on eyeshadow, they were glued at the hip. Zandra was one of the people who helped Rebecca make it through that final semester, cheered her on when she found out she was accepted into grad school, and was the best person to watch old episodes of Victorious with while eating pasta for dinner. Even though Zandra lives all the way in the Big Apple, Rebecca and Zandra make staying in contact a priority, whether it was Rebecca telling Zandra all about this fantastic new guy she met during a pandemic, or Zandra was telling Rebecca all about the new play she was producing at The New School, they were always cheering for one another's successes and supporting one another during difficult times. When Rebecca called Zandra to tell her that Chris had proposed, Zandra thought that Rebecca was just showing off her manicure (it did take 23 years for Rebecca to finally have nails), and it took Zandra more than a second to realize what was happening. Rebecca could not imagine this day without the ultimate hype gal by her side.

Annabell is the wonderful sister of the groom! It has been such a joy for Rebecca to have the opportunity to build a relationship with Annabell. Rebecca and Annabell have enjoyed bonding over all things Taylor Swift, cooking delicious food, joking around about Rebecca's inability to do a puzzle, and the good and difficult parts about working with kids. From the moment that Rebecca and Annabell met, Rebecca could tell what a kind, thoughtful, intelligent person Annabell is. Annabell is often a voice of reason and sounding board for those around her. Annabell has a way of making you feel like you are the only one in the room when having a conversation with her. She will be fully honest with you without hurting anyone's feelings. Rebecca is so excited to officially be a member of the Pedersen family, and gaining a sister in Annabell is something that makes it even better!
