Our dress code for the wedding is Black Tie Preferred — which means we’d love to see you looking your best! Gents, we hope you will rock a tuxedo! Alternatively, we would suggest a navy or dark grey suit with a dark-colored tie. No khakis, jeans, or shorts. Ladies, please wear a fabulous long dress in any print or shade you love (except white, cream, ivory, beige, etc.). Colors are encouraged! Floor length gowns and maxi dresses are great — but remember to keep it formal. Please avoid more casual options like sundresses and dresses above the knee. We suggest wearing shoes to walk in grass (block heels)! For the convenience of our guests, complimentary round trip shuttle bus service will be provided from the following Annapolis hotels to Whitehall Manor: • The Graduate by Hilton Annapolis • The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel • The Crowne Plaza Annapolis Shuttles will depart from the hotels above on the wedding day promptly at a time TBA and return guests to these hotels after the reception. The after party is a 2-minute walk from the Graduate. Guests with other accommodations are welcome to use the shuttle service, as well. There is a parking lot available at Whitehall Manor for any guests who wish to drive to the venue. If you choose to transport yourself, please account for additional travel time due to traffic on the ride over, which can be significant this time of year. The ceremony starts promptly at 4:30pm, so we ask that you arrive and take your seats before then. For your return, please note that rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are often limited near the venue, especially in the evenings.
Although we love your little ones, we have chosen to make our special day adults only with very few exceptions for young adults in our immediate family. We want all wedding guests, including parents, to enjoy a night of fun! We thank you for your understanding.
We would like to keep our day as intimate as possible. Therefore, we respectfully request our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at Whitehall Manor. Whitehall Manor is located at 1915 Whitehall Road, Annapolis, MD.
The ceremony is outdoors and the reception is tented. We suggest wearing shoes to walk in grass (block heels)! If rain is forecasted *knock on wood*, we have a full rain plan with tents to ensure you stay dry.
Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, the choice is yours! We would love our guests to celebrate with us all weekend. Out of town guests, family, and close friends of the couple are invited to join us for welcome drinks and dessert on Friday, May 29 at the Hattar-Werner Residence. The dress code is semi-formal, meaning dressy sundresses and simple cocktail dresses are encouraged for women, and ties are optional for men. Please avoid jeans, shorts, and leggings — and remember to wear shoes to walk in grass! Welcome Drinks & Dessert - Friday from 8:00 - 10:00 PM Hattar-Werner Residence 211 Wardour Drive, Annapolis, MD We ask that you uber/lyft to the house as parking is not available.
Although we encourage you to stay at the Graduate, if you live close enough to drive home or prefer one of the other hotels, an Airbnb, or some other accommodation, feel free!
This is completely up to you! It will be most useful to have a car for transport to and from the airport, but it is not necessary. Most of the main sights in Annapolis are within walking distance of each other—especially if you stay at the Graduate—or ubers/lyfts are readily available. If you think you will be very active with activities or have limited mobility, however, a rental car could be worth considering!
