Will the event be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

A little bit of both! The ceremony will be outside, and the reception will take place under a temperature-controlled tent. The cocktail hour will be both in and out doors, as guests will be able to explore the castle during that time.

What does the parking situation look like?

Answer

Searles Castle has ample parking on their grounds, with a shuttle available to bring you to the castle courtyard if needed. We will be the only event at the castle that day, so no need to worry about limited parking!

I have allergies/dietary restrictions. What should I do?

Answer

One of the reasons we selected Searles was due to their excellence in terms of catering and allergens. Dietary options and a place to let us know will be available on the RSVP, but if you have a concern, please email us at hotzwhittierwedding@gmail.com

What is the drinks situation?

Answer

We will have drinks available with dinner, and anything else can be purchased at the bar.

What is the dress code?

Answer

This event is formal, black-tie optional. Our wedding colors are forest green and purple, in case you are looking to avoid matching the bridal party. Formal, black-tie optional in this case means if you have something fancy that you don't typically get to wear, feel free to wear it! If you don't have something black-tie, though, don't feel obligated to go out of your way for new clothing that is black-tie level. For reference, the groomspeople will be wearing charcoal gray suits!
