What is the dress code?

Answer

To help make this an unforgettable evening, we are asking our guests to dress to impress with their best formal attire, black-tie is optional. This may include but is not limited to: A jacket and tie, a traditional suit, or tuxedo OR Longer length dresses, gowns, pant suits, or two-piece sets. The ceremony will be held outside, weather permitting. Please feel free to bring a jacket/shawl if the weather is cooler. There is a stone pathway to the ceremony seats, but still be mindful of shoe choice!

Is the Reception, Cocktail Hour, and Reception all at Starting Gate at Great Horse?

Yes, for your convenience (and ours), all events will take place at Starting Gate at Great Horse Country Club.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. We kindly ask guests to arrive 15-30 minutes beforehand.

Will you be broadcasting your ceremony online?

Answer

In order to streamline our events, we have chosen not to share our ceremony on social media, zoom, or any other platform. We sincerely apologize, but plan to share photos on social media if you are unable to attend!

Can I bring my children?

Answer

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that this is an adult-only event.

Can I bring extra guests?

Answer

We ask our guests to please not bring extra guests unless specifically noted on their invitation.

How do I find the Starting Gate at Great Horse?

Answer

Starting Gate is located on the property of Great Horse Country Club, which is approximately 20 minutes east of I-91 in Springfield. If you are coming from Connecticut and using I-91 North, take exit 48 toward CT-220/Elm St/Thompsonville. It is also possible to take I-91 North to I-84 East, using exit 64-65 toward Rockville and up through Somers. If you are coming from Western Massachusetts, take exit 1 off I-91 South toward US-5 S/Longmeadow and take Converse Street. Go through Longmeadow and East Longmeadow to reach Hampden. *When in doubt, Great Horse Country Club is recognized on GPS devices: 128 Wilbraham Rd, Hampden, MA 01036.* When you arrive at the gates of Great Horse, please follow the road up the hill to the second building, located straight ahead. Parking is available on your right as you enter the premises. Event signs will be present and valet parking will assist our guests if you choose to pull-up to the entrance of The Starting Gate.

What type of alcohol will be served?

Answer

Premium liquors, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered. Please utilize our travel recommendations for local hotels!

What if I don't RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by the date provided: August 26th, 2023. We will do our best to contact you, but we may have to mark you as "no," as we need to provide a final headcount for the venue in a timely manner. We hope you can understand!
