The week before Becca's birthday in 2018, she went into Barberitos in Johnson City (where Bennett worked at the time) to redeem her free birthday burrito reward on her app. While she was ordering in line, Bennett and his boss started making jokes with her, and Bennett and Becca hit it off instantly. Later that night, Bennett came into Chick-fil-A across the street (where Becca works) and they continued their conversation. The next Monday (Becca's birthday day), Becca came into work and Bennett had left a handwritten note there for her with his number, barberitos gift card, and wishing her a happy birthday and asking her out. They went on their first date a few days later and from the first date, Becca knew that it was game over - that he was the one!

Bennett knew that Becca wanted to be totally surprised by the proposal and have all of their friends there to celebrate. He used New Years Eve as the perfect cover up to get all of our friends together for a "party" at his house so that he could propose as the ball was dropping and Becca wouldn't see it coming! For the first time in her life, Becca was left speechless, is pretty sure she blacked out from shock, and then nodded a "yes" and they were engaged!
