Our ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. with a Tish and B'deken. In Jewish tradition, a Tish is a pre-ceremony gathering of the groom and his friends, joyfully sharing words of Torah, songs and blessings. A B'deken follows, a symbolic veiling of the bride that draws meaning from the biblical story of Jacob and Rachel. Ours will be an egalitarian interpretation, and we invite you to dance and sing with us in celebration of the bride and groom. The Black Tux is offering a $20 discount to our guests.
