Adam and I met when we started playing youth baseball together and one might say that the only thing longer than a baseball game is our friendship. For more than 18 years, our friendship has remained intact through many sports teams, college and life events. We continue to share our love for sports – although this is now almost solely on the golf course, where I’ve kept a small edge ever since we’ve started playing together.

Ben and I also started our friendship on the middle school baseball field. At the time, Ben was as small and scrappy as they come – a characteristic that he still elicits and I’ve grown to love. Ben has become my ‘jack of all trades’ friend, whether I need an ice fishing partner, trading card grading expert or someone to watch sports with, Ben is my guy.

Erik Lukkari

From sports teams to the mountains in Utah, Erik and I have been friends through it all. Erik wins the prize for the longest distance traveled by anyone in the bridal party – all the way from Salt Lake City, Utah. Although Erik and I differ in our action sports skills, we have always enjoyed good laughs, good beer, and an overall great friendship together.

Cadan Kleinhecksel

Cadan and I met when our schools combined after elementary school. Since this time, Cadan and I have grown our friendship through high school, college, and now in Spring Lake. Beca and I are lucky enough not only to have Cadan as a close friend, but as a neighbor. Only a few short years ago, Cadan and I bought houses in Spring Lake 100 yards from one another. I can’t think of a more giving and generous friend than Cadan.

Ethan Groothuis

Ethan and I grew up playing sports together and now continue this tradition at our local golf club. Ethan is one of the better golfers I know, which is why I’ve chosen him as a golf partner for the last 3 years. We’ve yet to win anything in our league or in a tournament but the comradery is always there. When we’re not on the golf course, Ethan and I can be found boating, playing pickleball, or playing paddle tennis.

Sean Elder

Sean is my oldest cousin of five that has been a friend since day one, literally. We grew close spending time every summer at our Grampa’s house in Midland, MI. Even though he now towers over me at 6’ 5”, he’ll always be my little cousin. Sean is in the Air Force and will miss the wedding due to an overseas deployment. While Beca and I will miss him on our wedding day, we are so proud of his commitment and dedication to our country.

Andrea Paliani-Harpst

Andrea was my roommate for freshman year at Grand Valley State University and we have remained best friends since. She was a guiding light and great support system all throughout college (and beyond!) and I am lucky to share so many fun memories with her. Favorite memory together: Hannah Montana dance parties in our dorm room Fun fact: I was Andrea's maid of honor in her October 2022 wedding!

Elizabeth or "Liz" is my oldest and dearest best friend, also referred to as my "sista from another mista" since we are both only childs. We've been best friends since we were eight years old when we met during girl scouts and despite an ever-changing world, our friendship has never wavered. For most of our childhood, we lived down the road from each other and shared memories of creating dance routines, sledding, and shooting off backyard fireworks ---- all made us who we are today.

Jeannine Lane

Jeannine and I met through our college sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma - we were matched as "big" and "little"! We became fast friends, lived together for two years during college and then again, post-college, in 2020-2021. We share so many fun memories together but she has also been a sounding board for me during some of life's hardest challenges. Fun fact: While living together, Jeannine was Rizzo's 'social media manager' and took a video of him that went viral on Tik Tok with more than 1 million views. Then after living with Rizzo and I for a year, Jeannine had to get a Westie of her own, Bowie (pictured) - we now share being Westie moms together!

Brittany or "B" is my cousin, but is really the little sister I always wanted but never had! Despite a six year age difference, we grew up together and she was always my built-in best friend for family events. Favorite memory: Being assigned to do the dishes at every family holiday - it was never too bad because we had each other!

Jessica is one of my newest friends and lives right next to us in Spring Lake! I met Jessica through Erik, her husband, Cadan, is one of Erik's childhood friends. I have had so much fun getting to know Jessica and Cadan over the past four years and can't wait to make many more memories with them! Fun fact: Our dogs, Rizzo and Ollie (dachshund) are BFFS!
