Nestled in the heart of central Mexico, San Miguel de Allende is a charming colonial town known for its cobblestone streets, beautiful churches, and vibrant cultural scene. San Miguel de Allende offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.

Travel Tips

Nearest Airport: Leon, Guanajuato (BJX). It is about 1 hour 30 min away from San Miguel de Allende. A taxi or private bus will be needed. 

Travel Documents: Make sure that you have a valid passport, as Mexico requires them for entry. 

Currency: The currency in San Miguel de Allende is the Mexican Peso (MXN), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted. It's still a good idea to exchange money for smaller purchases or tips.

Transportation: San Miguel is a walkable town, but taxis are easily assessable. Tour buses can also be rented. Make sure to have cash in MXN pesos available for transportation. 

Weather: The weather is generally warm, but evenings can get cooler.
