Things To Do

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday that honors and celebrates deceased loved ones. It takes place on November 1st and 2nd, coinciding with All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. The tradition blends indigenous Mexican beliefs with Catholic elements, emphasizing that death is part of the cycle of life. Families create altars (ofrendas) with offerings such as food, candles, and photos, inviting the spirits of the deceased to return. The celebration is colorful, joyful, and centered around remembering and celebrating the lives of those who have passed.
Durning October 31st, November 1st and 2nd you will find alters, sugar skull (catrinas) parades, Aztec dances, and pop-up shops. These festivities can be found in the main square. We will be exploring these attractions on Sunday November 2nd. Feel free to join us.
In San Miguel you can also find hot springs, massages, wineries, and tours with many options including visiting the capital city of Guanajuato
