Bridget remembers.. Mike started at PTC in March 2012, about 3 months before I did. During my onboarding, we ran a test and accidentally sent a runaway print job to a printer in my brand new office. I ran as fast as I could to where I could hear printer sounds, and found... Michael. He wasn't a printer, but we became fast friends. Bridget and Mike still both work at PTC, though in different product areas, which has been a blessing for us both!
Mike is still not a printer, but he is still around to make jokes and distract from all the chaos of the world. Born in Illinois, Mike grew up in Marblehead, MA before earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering at PITT. He uses that degree to work at PTC supporting their flagship CAD design and FEA software. Mike was until recently a Console gamer (GASP!), but after attending PAX with Bridget and her brothers in 2019, he stayed up way too late playing Overcooked. Soon after came Skyrim using a mouse and keyboard after many hours on the PS3, and now he has turned to prefer PC games.
Bridget grew up in Lancaster County, PA with her parents and her three siblings, Erin, Patrick, and John, along with myriad cats and dogs, some fish, lizards, and at least 2 birds. She was homeschooled K-12 and then attended Hofstra University for her BBA in Information Technology and BA in Drama Production. She has been working at PTC Inc. for 12 years and currently serves as the Product Manager for Visualization, a product which she supported for 10 years prior to this role. Bridget has always been an avid gamer, starting with PC (shout out to StarCraft and Freddi Fish in no particular order). She also enjoys Shakespeare, and has been enjoying introducing Mike to all of her favorite plays. The culmination of this has been a joint enjoyment of RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Skyrim, as well as tabletop games including D&D.
Before moving in with Bridget, Mike had never owned a cat. He had owned several hamsters, a bunny, and fish. Soon he found himself the favorite of Sprocket, who decided he was her person seemingly to indicate to her father that Mike was a okay by her. Several years later, Mike is definitely the favorite of 3/4 cats and barely gets a minute to himself. He can often be found at his desk with a cat in his lap or around his shoulders while he works.
