Well, it all started with Reagan moving across the country on a whim for a job. After a few months of lonely sulking, she downloaded Bumble and swiped right on a certain guy because he had a cute dog. Fast forward to their first date (which lasted over 8 hours), Nathaniel got home and asked what she was doing the very next day. He then continued to take her out several times within the week, culminating in a short 16 mile hike (that All Trails called 8) where they trauma bonded and realized that maybe this wasn't just another love bombing experience. The next week, they got locked in a local park for several hours, and were forgotten by the tow truck that had the gate keys. Nathaniel had already made up his mind about Reagan, but she didn't want to rush things. So she asked him (gracefully) to give her a few more dates before he could ask her to be his again. A short time later, Reagan's best friend surprised her in town with a location and time to meet up, emphatically telling her to "bring the boy". In true PNW fashion, the couple concluded their hike and drove to some random craft brewery in Seattle. Her best friend proceeded to observe the couple for half an hour, and then took Reagan aside to say, "That is a good man. Don't f*ck it up. Let yourself enjoy something for once." And that day she told Nathaniel to "Ask me again." As in, ask her to be his girlfriend. Like they were in middle school. Just 6 hours later, Reagan gets a call from Nathaniel at work. A cry for help, really. After getting lost on the way to the hangar, she picked him up and took him back to her place, where he spent the next 6 hours dying in her bathroom, laying in the tub, or curled up on her heating pad in the corner of the bed. After multiple pleading attempts, Nathaniel reluctantly agreed to be taken to the hospital. Turns out he had kidney stones! And from then on, a series of unfortunate events befell the couple that laughed their way through it all. From changing careers to personal loss, opposite schedules and overtime, they continued to choose each other. Since they didn't feel like they had enough going on, the couple opted to add two very active members to the family (Kovu and Luna) for a little extra spice (and a lot less sleep) in their lives. In lieu of proposing, Nathaniel opted to simply drive Reagan to a local jeweler. Very nonchalant. And the customized complimentary wedding rings showcase a Montana sapphire and Washington's very own Mount Rainier! Check them out the next time you see the couple! In life, sometimes you just know things, and Reagan and Nathaniel knew pretty soon after they met that they were meant to be. Join them, their 3 dogs (Ollie, Kovu, and Luna), and their families in celebrating a lifelong love together.
