Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 3rd, 2019 at the very latest. We need to have the head count for the caterer very soon after that date.

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

There are three hotels listed on the travel page of varying distances from the wedding. We have reserved 15 rooms at the Sleep Inn in Emmitsburg for you to book. It has a 2 day minimum stay. We have also reserved 10 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express. This is further away and also has a 2 day minimum stay requirement.

Where is the Ceremony?

Answer

The Ceremony is at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Emmitsburg Maryland. Please check out the Schedule tab on the website for the exact address and map.

Where is the Reception?

Answer

The Reception is at Springfield Manor Winery Distillery Brewery in Thurmont Maryland. Please check out the Schedule tab on the website for the exact address and map.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We have four main course options. A Flat Iron Steak, Tilapia w/ Chardonnay Leak Cream Sauce, Teriyaki Glazed Chicken Breast w/ Pineapple, and Portabella Saute Pasta. The Portabella Saute is vegetarian. There is also a children's meal option which includes Chicken Tenders, Macaroni and Cheese, and Fruit. With each meal also comes a spinach salad with bacon dressing, green beans, red peppers, mushrooms, and garlic mashed potatoes. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, our caterer can work to accommodate your needs.

Can I bring my Children?

Answer

Of course! This is a family event and we want to celebrate with as many of you as possible. There is even a meal option specifically for children. It has Chicken Tenders, Macaroni and Cheese, and Fruit.

What is there for us to do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We understand that there is a few hour time gap between the ceremony and reception. We are happy that you are spending that time with us. If you check out the Things to Do tab on the website you will see some of our recommendations for that time. The reception venue will be hosting free music at the winery and guests are welcome to start heading there anytime after the ceremony.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We want this to be a formal event, but not black tie fancy. Dress nice, but also comfortable.

Is there parking available near the Ceremony and Reception venues?

Answer

There will be parking available at both locations. The Reception venue will have someone directing parking to help everyone find a place. We will try to have someone helping with parking at the Ceremony.

Is there any transportation provided?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not have any transportation to take you from the hotel to the wedding venues. Please plan accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

Please take pictures! We came up with the hashtag #doitforthegrams in order to better find the photos online, so use it if you want. You can also tag us on facebook or instagram.
