Freshman year at Frostburg State University we were both taking Introduction to Japanese. I did not notice him at first, but he noticed me. He never approached me, but it turned out that he had a class with my roommate Grace. They ended up in a group project together for Psychology and she mentioned that he was in my class. So we started to study together. We began to spend more time together, watching tv shows and playing video games. We just clicked from that point forward.

Although we met early in the school year, we did not go on our first date until May. We went out for sushi at Zenshi in Frostburg, MD and it was amazing. We ordered a sushi boat and an appetizer and two more rolls. We evenly divided the sushi and the very expensive bill.

I had just finished my summer job and was heading over to see him for a lunch date at Roy Rogers. When we went to leave his place, he asked me to get a coat from his closet. Inside was a very large teddy bear (larger than Jonathan) and when I turned around he was there on one knee holding the ring. I tackle hugged him and we fell onto his bed where I proceeded to cry in happiness. About 5 minutes later he said "Oh. I still haven't asked... will you marry me?" I laughed and said yes, then cried some more.
