Matt and I met in 2016 by chance when our Arman brought Matt to my lake house in Wisconsin. He refused to play Powerglide by Rae Sremmurd for me on his speaker while taking requests. He also shoved his toes in my face after I told him I hated feet. He somehow left that week with my number. For a while we spent time visiting each other in Utah and Indiana. That eventually led to us dating long distance. In 2020 I somehow convinced Matt to move back home and we moved into a tiny 500 square foot apartment in Lakeview, Chicago together. We survived Covid lockdown in that tiny apartment. During lockdown we rescued 2 cats Binx and Lucifer who we love dearly. We moved back to IN for about 4 months before Matt got a promotion and we moved away from our family and friends to Appleton, WI. We made many trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to camp and hike, floated the Wolf River too many times to count, indulged in many old fashions, Friday fish fry’s, and cheese curds, got to witness the Northern Lights from our apartment balcony, and met some amazing people during our time there. Matt was transferred again at the end of 2023 and we now live 20 minutes outside of Milwaukee. In February of 2024 we visited Florida for our friend’s wedding and decided to make a vacation out of it. On my birthday (the 21st) Matt took me out to an Island where we spent the day swimming and shelling. He then took me to the beach for sunset where he proposed.
