Travel Note
Charleston does have an airport! Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Canada to this airport. Based on my search however, there are several flights with Delta, United, and American airlines that have 1-2 layovers (most commonly in Chicago or Charlotte). If you want a direct flight and don't mind renting a car and making a bit of a drive, my three suggestions on airports to fly to would be Atlanta, Orlando, or Charlotte. Charlotte is the closest larger airport with direct flights and is about a 3 hour drive. Atlanta is another good option but is about 4.5 hours from Charleston (and the traffic can be a headache). Orlando is the furthest but if you are looking to make a fun road trip out of it this would be my suggestion! Orlando has some beautiful beaches and the weather should be perfect late September to early October for my cool blooded Canadians. Along the way there are multiple amazing spots to stop including St. Augustine, FL and Savannah, GA (our personal favorite place in the world). If you're thinking about any of these options feel free to reach out to me and I can give you more tips and information!!
Travel Note
Getting to Charleston from within the US is relatively easy as most big cities have direct flights to the Charleston airport! From there you can either rent a car or get an uber to wherever you are staying. Again, Charleston is super walkable and easy to get around via uber or cab, so a rental car is not necessary unless you want one!
Rental Car
Downtown Charleston is extremely walkable, so if you are staying within the downtown historical area, you will likely not need a car. Charleston also has cab services, ubers, and lyfts available if you are staying outside downtown and need to get around. If you do want to rent a car however, I would suggest checking at whatever airport you are flying in to OR using the website Kayak to get the cheapest rate :)
Hotel
I have booked a hotel block at the Holiday Inn express and suites in Downtown Charleston. The hotel is located only a mile away from our venue and offers free breakfast and 15$ nightly parking for cars! I am starting with blocking 10 rooms for the following nightly price: 10/2-189 USD 10/3-249 USD 10/4-249 USD These rooms will be held at this price until 9/17/2025 but we recommend booking as early as possible. If the need arises for more rooms please reach out to me so that I can contact to hotel manager! We understand that these rooms may be a bit pricy for some and if you are wanting to reserve a hotel at a lower cost, I recommend looking in the Mount Pleasant area or West Ashley neighborhoods which are located on either side of the downtown peninsula. Again, if you need any recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach out to me!! To book please click the link below (the "view" button)
House Or Rental
Charleston has a lot of great Airbnb's available in the downtown historical area (which is where we recommend staying). If you are looking for a more budget friendly option however staying in the Mount pleasant or West Ashley area is also a good option. Please let me know if you have any questions on where to stay!
