Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The doors will open at 11am. You will want to drop off passengers and park and get to the sixth floor studio and be seated in time. The ceremony will commence at 11:30am.

Question

What about parking for the venue---ceremony/reception?

Answer

Street parking is all around the building and should be convenient. Metered parking is free in Milwaukee on Sundays. :) If you find a space closest to Farwell Avenue, walk through the 2160 N Farwell Avenue garage entrance and then proceed to the passageway to building entrance. Once inside, the elevators are in view and take one up to the Jan Serr Studio--6th floor. If you are closest to the Prospect Avenue entrance, use it and walk through the gallery space to the main floor elevators. There will be UWM staff/our ushes available to direct you and take elevator up to the Jan Serr Studio--6th floor. There is an open air parking lot--Prospect Kenilworth Lot at 2139 N Prospect Ave, Park. There is a fee and pay at the pay station before you head to Jan Serr Studio. Payment directions are located on a sign attached to the building. If you are looking for a covered parking space they are first come, first served in the parking garage attached to the building. The entrance to the parking garage is 2160 N Farwell Avenue and there is a fee. Once you're parked and paid at the meter, go to the door leading to the pathway to the building entrance and once inside, the elevators are in view and take an elevator to the Jan Serr Studio. If you are dropping someone off, the easiest is to do so curbside nearest the Prospect Avenue entrance. Once in the building they walk through the gallery space and UWM staff will be available to direct them to the main floor elevators where they take one up to the Jan Serr Studio. If you are dropping off someone with a wheelchair you can access the building without a curb by going through garage at 2160 N Farwell Avenue--you'll pass through a pathway and then to building entrance and once inside, the elevators are in view and take an elevator to the Jan Serr Studio. We have a few parking spaces reserved for elderly and disabled (or distraught) in a student lot attached to the building--contact grooms for further information.
